Has a sheepish lining?

It seems fun things with sheep are everywhere these days. Did you see this one from Dirk Juergensen the other day (HERE).

I love the variety of different lengths of shadows here thanks to the undulating terrain.

Sheep are the new landscape weapon of choice Ian. I own this whole field of 76. They are only £59 each. Yes I spent £4484 on sheep to get this shot, now they are lambing, I am vegetarian, I cant see a wait out of this.

I have admired your work for some time now, but this is really something. It is difficult to find original work on PN and I'm always impressed to see something new like this. Spectacular image.

ROTFL

You rustler! There are 141 sheep here -- you owe someone £3835!

If only you lived on this side of the Pond. I've got a border collie who'd come and give you a hand.

Haha! I only made an approximation with the farmer, I'm quids in! You could be my livestock manager Ian; I've got a tax bill coming up soon the last thing I need is another invoice, better get some sheep in the loft.

BTW thanks Robert. I saw this shot from about a 1/4 mile away whilst driving a campervan in NZ. I had to get permission from the farmer who thought I was slightly mad when he saw me running throught long grass like a lunatic. It was so worth it.

Great capture! I agree with the above comment, a unique and creative image. The color and shadows (some long, some short) are wonderful to look at...Love it!

You seem to have a bit of a fixation with sheep at the moment David. Do you still have one in your hall from the other night? I love the texture of the grass and the randomness of the sheep.

Colin, the one in the hall went to the RSPCA, poor little blighter, I could have done with keeping it as my lawn always needs cutting, but having a tethered sheep in the back yard will surely be the talk of the village post office.

An immediate eye-catcher with great contrast and colour. Made very interesting and unique by the viewpoint and the hap-hazard scattering of these sheep.... Some of the ratings here are either done by a blindman or sectioned escapee...Regards

Oh well, jokes apart. This is really something! The arrangement of the sheeps is really pleasing to the eye, and it's wonderful how their shadows are longer or shorter depending on where they're displaced on the undulated field. This could be a striking puzzle, though I wouldn't want to be the one drawn totally mad at looking for the last missing sheep...
