Urban Beavers

The neighbors seldom caught a glimpse of the beaver family living in

apartment 1B. Each night after dusk, the family would slip out into

the streets in search of food and building supplies.In the morning the

other tenants awoke to find a fresh supply of sticks at the doorstep.

From behind closed doors the beavers could be heard nibbling away upon

the previous night's plunder.

I like the humorous take on it. As far as the image goes, I like the sense of the incomplete story. Nicely done. Dan

Gord, you almost had me there. I've seen how beavers can operate, even here in the 'burbs. I like the shot. It makes me think.

This latest threesome are all wonderful. I'll come back and comment on the others, but for now, I've had a good chuckle over a damn good photo.

As you of course know, I live out in the woods where beavers are common. In the city stumbling upon this strange sight of branches piled up at the door and stuffed in the mailbox, beavers seemed the most likely suspects :-)

 

This scene made me laugh when I saw it and thought about beaver homes... glad it gave you a smile as well.

Just found this shot - LOL!! I think they've stuffed a rack of antlers in one of the mailboxes. And the graffiti on the door - what is that?? If all this stuff is on the outside, what do you suppose is on the other side of the door? And do we want to even contemplate that? This photo is technically good (sharp, well exposed) and tells a story that has no end other than the one the viewer makes up. And.... it makes you smile. What more could you ask for? This pic is and does everything it needs to very well. Creative, original, full of mystery and humor! It's in my favorites album - (PS - thanks for the introductory explanation.)

Thanks I found this on a walk in the big city. Living out in the woods myself, it was only a small leap to end up with beavers as a conclusion. ..... and yeah , sometimes it is best, not to know, what goes on behind closed doors :-)
