paolo de faveri 1 Posted December 13, 2008 The full moon of yesterday night has ended up to be the most exciting photographic experience I had in a while. After an entire week of cloudy, rainy and snowy weather, the sky couldn't choose a better moment to break up. At 2AM I was ready for bed and just gave an eye outside and, well, never went to sleep yesterday night! This is the piece of Pianura Padana lying in front of my house, dominated by the majestic pyramid of the Monviso. This picture represents quite a technical achievement for me, as it's the result of a stitching of 5 vertical frames, each of them was exposed for 100" @ f11. I had to work hard to keep consistency in the sky. Although the wind direction never changed during the five exposures, there was of course a lot of overlapping between bands of clouds and clear sky. However, as I took this picture from a place which is not more than 200 m. (600 ft) far from home, we could also say this is a fair example of "pijama photography"... Your C&C are as always highly appreciated, thanks in advance for your time. Link to comment
