alight 0 Posted December 11, 2008 I like the title and the composition. Have you created a high-key image on purpose? What I would do, is to select the boys and make sure they are properly exposed - not over-exposed, and then make the rest of the image high-key. I like their shadows to be so pronounced. I would give this photo six points for originality, but couldn't rate the looks, because I don't know what you're trying to do here. If you created a high-key photo on purpose, I would give it 5 for the looks, and six or even seven if the boys were properly exposed. If you over-exposed the photo by mistake, I would give it 4 points for the looks. All this is my opinion only, of course. Cheers, Micheal Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted December 11, 2008 This is the type of picture you seem to do better than anyone else. The photo is a distilled, high-key image, a seemingly sudden flash of recognition, catching and illuminating a broadly shared experience. We look and recognize the essential truthfullness of an image both mundane and profound. Link to comment

3m 0 Posted December 3, 2011 Just visiting (and enjoying) and looking at a photo, I can particularly relate to... Two brothers -- one trying to keep up with the other... & the sun, and the beach... Lots of happy memories :-) Link to comment
Bachir 0 Posted March 31, 2015 This is a flashback into some profound memory... it was too bright, sometimes the sand was too hot and the apple was crunchy and sweet. The future was perhaps unwritten but not important at that stage. Life was amazingly beautiful. Link to comment
