Spotted behind Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie, On. on my way to Tim

Horton's for coffee. Your comments\critiques will be gratefully received.

Nice composition with just right amount of dash of color. White bland sky is distracting. If you have room in the original increase the FG and decrease or eliminate the sky altogether. Alternatively you can try darkening the sky a bit. but that may be lot of work.

where is Royal Victoria hospital? Toronto?

Thanks for taking the time & effort. The Royal Victoria Hospital I refer to is in Barrie, Ontario, close to my home. I agree with your assessement of the sky but since there is a fence in the foreground to protect the wetland from construction debris I've no room to maneuver in that area & to change the tone of the sky would take higher PS skills than I possess. Guess I'll have to settle for an 'A-' . :-) Best, LM

Len, I have a real fondness for swamps. I love the mixture of textures and shadows and colors. I imagine no one had ever thought of looking twice at this scene but you. I'm glad you did, you captured the subtle beauty and elegance of nature.

Thanks for putting in the effort to dig this one out & select it for comment. You are right, I believe, in your assessement of the popularity of this scene. It borders our local hospital, a path running parallel to it. Dozens of people pass this way daily on their way to work or as out patients in this hospital. Yet I do believe few give this wet area more than a cursory glance. I love it when something so common turns into a fine photo, satisfying at least, if not an award winner. Don't be a stranger. Best, LM.
