For some reason these things fascinate me. I was stung once by one of these critters. This is a Centruroides suffusus, I believe.

It is a very nice portrait. Good depth of field and the details are very sharp. It is of the Buthidae family... Depending on which Centruroides we were talking about, their are more or less dangerous for humans. They are very interesting.. if you would want to be more amazed, try to find material about their venoms... Scorpions are marvels of nature either as hunters as biochemical factories.

By the way. try to photograph another scorpion using UV light... Did you know that they glow under UV light...
