paolo de faveri 1 Posted December 3, 2008 A slightly different composition from the previous I posted from this location, and a double longer exposure. The Valle Stretta is a small, narrow valley in the Western Alps, right at the border between Italy and France. It's certainly one of the best alpine environment I know: evergreen forests, small glacial lakes, rivers and small streams, waterfalls. And, as the ice on the cake, the amazing jagged peak known as Grand Seru, part of the Mount Thabor massif, dominate the valley at his top. I took this picture on a evening of mid October, the period when fall colours in the valley reach their peak.
