steve_lowther 0 Posted December 4, 2008 I love this portrait! I love the expression on his face and the dirty hands and fingernails! It captures an important movement of his life -- his childhood, like few images have done for anyone. This is an image his grandchildren will covet. I did a few things to it. It was just a bit dark so I lightened it. I rotated and cropped it a bit just for more artistic tension. I dodged the scleras (the whites of the eye) and the catch lights of the eye for extra "pop" and to bring out his personality. I also added an edge treatment without a white inner frame just because the key is a low key image and the lightest part of the whole image should be his face.... somewhere....under the dirt. ;) If you don't find my suggestions helpful, then please send me an email and I will be happy to delete them for you. But if you have any questions, don't hesitate to email me, either. Link to comment
