How can you tell if a snake is sleeping if they do not have eye lids???

Good work, that green is superb. thast pose is genuine, obtaining too perfect light and contrast.

Very nice portrait... The snake is sleeping because even when the light is low, the iris is closed. With this amount of available light the iris should be opened if the snake were awoken, unless you had done several shoots with flash.

 

Congratulations, your portrait is very evocative. Print it in poster size... It will be wonderful.
