Autumn in Valle Gesso

The Valle Gesso is just one among the maze of small, steep and

narrow valleys of the Alpi Marittime National Park in Southern Piedmont,

Italy. I took this picture about one month ago, on a evening at the end of

October just before sunset. Fall colours were at their best up there.

This photo has everything going for it, the stream leads your eye through the multi-coloured rocks to the rich Fall leaves, and beyond to a dramatic threatening sky. Great composition with a wonderful range of tones.

Really great work as usual Paolo! This is a tough exposure for sure. I might bring out a tad more detail on the trees on the left. Regardless still a fine image.
