celasun 0 Posted December 5, 2008 Another very good portrait. I wonder how you catch people looking like themselves. He does not seem to be posing in the usual way. He looks "natural" for lack of a better word. A smile seems to be setting on his lips but his eyes are not quite there yet... I am sure you are not thinking too much while you click on the shutter almost following an instinct; that is the result of your experience. You ask people. They say "OK". And you shoot. There is a second or two between the last two events (OK & click); you somehow find the best moment among the possible hundred. That is when the person has not yet finished making the face he/she thinks to suit best. If he/she succeeds in this, the photo most likely becomes a snapshot in the negative sense of the word! I wonder if there is any truth in what I am trying to say... Regards, Link to comment
