It's a nice image but I think I'd prefer to see this with one of your models on top there hugging the branch naked. But then there'd be an occupational health and safety issue...

But I am sure it would make a great picture with impact though.

Thanks Albert. This is one of these photos that I didn't think anyone would comment on. You have proved me wrong. I kind of agree with you regarding the use of a model. Let's see what I can arrange. If I can arrange it, I will give you a mention. Thanks again!

Not a typical McCracken image, but I like the muted colors of the trees and foliage in the background and the brightness of the single leaf in the foreground. I also like it that although the leaf is the subject of the photograph, it doesn't hold center stage in the overall image. I see it as sort of a variation of the negative space concept, except the negative space is not empty.

A nice change of pace from you.

Albert, I will try not to be arrested but if I am, I will say it is your fault.

Jim, An interesting comment. Certainly more interesting than the picture! You hit on an interesting point. What is a typical McCracken picture? In the days I was allowed to comment on Peri's work, even though I didn't alway like what he did, I acknowledged he had style. Perhaps not having style and being repetative is a good thing although images like this are never going to be recognised as anything great. Rightly so.

If you are interested, this scene met me one afternoon as I drove into my drive after a weekend away. What made me take the photo was the leaf which stands out in the chaos of the wood. I think most people would be drawn to the leaf but it is the chaos of the wood that I find infinitely more interesting. This is something you picked up on and so I am happy.

What do I consider a typical (notice I didn't say a stereotypical) photograph? One containing subtle or not-so-subtle humour, often involving ladies in various stages of undress. Sometimes...not always...involving the use of props in addition to interesting poses and compositions. Sometimes your work is message-based, other times it's in the form of a visual pun.

Not meaning to imply that your work is predictable...just that it falls within a certain genre, and that to those familiar with your work, it's usually easily recognizable as a McCracken photograph.

Oh, and just about always good colour work.

Lovely shot. The color contrast and the light through the leaf is beautiful. The red line at the right bottom appears indispensable to me. Very nice. compliments -koushik

Jim, Where do I send the cheque? I guess you are right. I am humbled by your comment.

Koushik, Kind words! I should point out the red line is a signature of sorts. Thanks a lot.
