wmhoodphoto 0 Posted November 30, 2008 Thanks to all. And yes to Steve, wildflowers are responsible for most of the color. This image borders on Soda Lake so the whitish areas may be alkali deposits. And to Monte, my brother was piloting this flight and a friend in LA pilots my local trips. Link to comment
wmhoodphoto 0 Posted December 1, 2008 Running thru the center of this image is Wallace Creek, which is one of the most notable areas along the SA Fault. The "S" curve of the creek is actually the offset caused by 3800 years of earthquakes. It is about 91 meters in length. The last major earthquake in this area was in 1857 and displaced features by as much as 15 meters. Link to comment
