pnital 36 Posted November 27, 2008 The choreographer is Yoram Carmi.I have a series of works we collaborated in this story. Being in NY and visiting Central Park, I have found that story in a statue, and uploading it here. Wonderful how this story is an inspiration for many to create, following Lewis Carroll story ( his pseudonym). It only shows again and again that new forms of art are not creating in an empty space.... See as well, if it interest you here http://www.rakdance.com/En/sections/galleries/pnina/gallery.asp?gall_id=5&pic=1 . Thanks for your impression Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted November 27, 2008 The status is beautiful. Didn't see this when I was at Central Park many years ago. Your Alice in the photo is vibrant with life with her dance. Link to comment

sawicki 0 Posted November 28, 2008 Great. The dynamics of the spin and movement of hair and her expression are wonderfuly captured. Simple frame and those yellow and red colours matching very well... Link to comment
gordonjb 10,860 Posted November 28, 2008 Pnina; You already know how much I enjoy this photo of Alice twirling. The one of the statue in the park is very effective, the autumn landscape enhances the feel of being in wonderland and makes a terrific backdrop to the statues. The lighting give the bronze a nice look that makes it come to life. Link to comment
glaucodattini 0 Posted November 28, 2008 Excellent timing, very good composition. Best Regards. Glauco. (7/7 a.) Link to comment

rogerleekam 0 Posted November 28, 2008 Almost the opposite of the last one. Strong, vivid tones and full of drama. Taken together they show how motion can be treated in a variety of ways. Also good in this is the red ball on the right. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted November 29, 2008 Cherlyn, Central park is big, and maybe the statue was not there then. Jeffrey, thanks as well Spencer, thanks for your nice comment, and especially seeing you here, I hope you are well, my friend. Shalom Pawel, thanks for your feedback. Glad to see you here, I hope you have slept well after the long journey home....;-)) Gord, thanks for both photo feedback. I'm glad you have referred to the statue's photo . I knew the moment I saw it , that I will connect both of them in one thread. Glauco, Jose, Marjorie, and Ilkka, thanks all of you , your feedback is appreciated. Dave, it is only a part of the series, but I'm glad you have looked at the few of them in the dance site. Roger, dance has so many forms, I try to photo my impressions in different ways. These two are two different ways that I work with to depict the movement.. Link to comment
davidorea 0 Posted November 29, 2008 Beautiful capture, dear Pnina. A delight of scene, colors and motion effect. Good shot! Regards! Link to comment

tonmestrom 4 Posted November 29, 2008 bearing in mind what I've said a time ago about some of your theater photography this is for me as it should be. Sharp while maintaining an accute sense of the dynamic of her dance, As a nitpick I would only correct some of the red in her face. Due to the lights it looks a bit too red to me. Correcting that towards a more natural looking skin colour is easily achieved though. Link to comment

pnital 36 Posted November 29, 2008 David, thanks for your fvisit and comments Jeff, seeing the statue in the park, I was really delighted, because of my seeing continuation of generations of artists, like another link in a line, and my loved childhood books. Afshin and Maurizio, thanks both for your nice feedback Ton, thanks for your help. I think that it is a small correction, but does not affect the composition. Rueda and Cynthia, thanks for your comments, Link to comment
