Landrum Kelly 64 Posted November 25, 2008 This was shot at Livingstone College after sunset on the eve of the2008 election. Since Livingstone is a historically black collegefounded not long after the Civil War, this election was particularlymeaningful, and there was a sense of quiet optimism on campus on thisMonday evening before the nation would elect its firstAfrican-American president. --Lannie Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted December 18, 2008 Interesting juxtaposition Lannie, of two chapters in History,. The place looks deserted , but I'm sure the celebrations of clossing a circle, was heart warming to many. Nice composition and information. I think a tiny bit oversharpened, but otherwise thoughtful and well lighted place and event. Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted December 18, 2008 Thanks, Pnina. It was soft when I processed it, and I tried to sharpen it and went overboard. The original file would not support a print, I fear. Technically speaking, this is a failed effort, but it still conveys the overall mood that I wanted to capture. --Lannie Link to comment
