The Church of Santa Maria del Castillo was completed in the 14th

Century and was declared a National Monument in 1931. The main

entrance is flamboyant Gothic (15 to 17th C). Of the original

building, which was burned in 1936, remain the exterior walls, the

cover and the Mudejar tower. Currently, the nave of the church was

restored in neo-Mudejar style, and on the altar has been placed the

original paneling of the Hospital of San Salvador.
