new york city The Brooklyn Bridge, as seen from the Manhattan Bridge, New York City

Recently, I spent a small part of a day in New York City with ViP - remember Vi? In spite of being FROM New York State, I have very little hours clocked in the Big Apple. It was a fun day of walking and shooting architecture and having chinese food in Chinatown.

I loved the views of the Brooklyn Bridge from the Manhattan Bridge. And it was such a lovely day - I was so happy to see this sky in a B&W version. But do you think I made the skyline too dark? Any other thoughts?

although you have been apparently inspired by the view point from Manhattan bridge but because New York is in the background the Brooklyn bridge can not stand out so gracefully. I think of course that there is no other ways to take this image since this can be among afew angels that this photo can be taken. well done anyway.

Gorgeous photo, Lou Ann! I love the dramatic tones and the composition. The light is great--I love the shadow of the Brooklyn Bridge on the water. The boat provides a compelling dynamic element. Excellent.

Interesting take on NYC. The clouds, and especially the way the one is cropped at the top, give it an other-worldly, fairy tale affect.

I like this photo, the shadow definately adds a nice element as does the boat. The contrast is pleasing and the clouds take you straight in, nice work
