cherlyn 1 Posted November 26, 2008 I really like the texture effect ( canvas?) here that make this painterly beautiful. The subdue tones reflect the coldness & dryness very well too. Link to comment

bradkim 8 Posted November 30, 2008 Beautiful painterly image, Liz! I see the remains of fall colors in the background... soon the trees will lose more leaves and they will become different, haunting subject to the photographers. Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted December 1, 2008 This is very nice, Liz. The James is one of my favorite rivers. How far upstream was this made? --Lannie Link to comment
lizweisiger 0 Posted December 1, 2008 Brad, oddly, this was taken early in November, before it's "supposed" to be so cold. When I go back there now, it's not beautiful like this, but beautiful in a different way. Lannie, this capture is between the Hugenot Bridge area, and the Pony Pasture. I'm fascinated with this river; I can get totally lost while looking and photographing it. But it's deceptive, people die on it every year. Link to comment
