rarmstrong 0 Posted November 24, 2008 Beautiful, Ross! We have recieved about 2 feet of snow in the past week, while Jeffrey basks in sunny Florida...he doesn't realize the cool beauty of the north that he's missing. I guess we'll just have to keep reminding him! Best regards! Dick Link to comment
ryourth 0 Posted November 24, 2008 Thanks for your visit Dick, nice to hear from you. You are so right about our northern climes. We've just finishes a glorious autumn with spectacular colours, our last day at our cabin we went for a long walk in the rain, there is nothing like the smell of the fallen leaves on an autumn day in the rain. Now we have this wonderfull white snow to savour & enjoy in the coming months & hopefully capture some nice images..We are so fortunate, no hurricanes either. Not Here 93 Posted November 24, 2008 Ross... So that's what snow looks like :-)... Beautiful Winter scene and equal to about 20 years worth of snow for Alabama. Keep warm!! Mike Link to comment

yttergaarden. 0 Posted November 24, 2008 Hi Ross. First of all, you got a great wintershot presented here. It is nicely composed and i like the bluish tone in this one. As you may know are we used to this white carpet where i live , but we havent got much so far, (it is covering the ground). People are talking about the latest winters who have come almost 2 monts later than we have been used to. It is strange, i think there must be something.. And i totaly agree with you when you mension the autumn, rain and the leafs. We like the 4 seasons - Best regards LKV. Link to comment
ryourth 0 Posted November 25, 2008 Hi Lennart, thanks so much for your comments.I like the bluish tones too,so typical of a late winter afternoon. Find it vey interesting that you seem to have lost your winters, believe they have migrated over here,Our east coast & parts of southern Ontario are getting hammered with unusually early & heavy snowstorms. I live east of Toronto & usually we keep our fingers crossed hoping that we will have snow for Xmas.,Believe me, we are well ahead of schedule. When I view your images am always impressed with the quality & amount of snow in your fine images.,expect you are hoping this present condition is just a minor aberration.Best Regards-Ross Link to comment
kristin.marvin 0 Posted November 26, 2008 I am jealous! I don't hail from sunny Florida or Alabama, but we *might* get one beautiful snow like this a season, two if we're lucky, and it's gone as soon as the sunlight hits it. (Middle of the East Coast- drab, uninteresting winters!) At any rate, regarding the photo- very nice! Makes me wish for snow! I like how you composed it, working with the tree to line it up just right with the gazebo to not distract. Link to comment
rbanfield 0 Posted December 3, 2008 OK! Now don't tell anybody but I'm really starting to miss the snow. What we get in Vegas every so often isn't even close to this. Beautiful shot and well composed. Thinking about heading up to Yosemite in February for some winter shooting. Happy Holidays...RAY Link to comment
