dgv 1 Posted November 23, 2008 Another family picture that I have restored. Again I believe that it was taken around 1925. Is interesting to note that pictures were hand painted in those days. Link to comment

marleft 0 Posted December 21, 2008 Dimitri, being absent for some days, I now see that you started your restoration work of your old family photos. You are very successful and I think that, as I proposed to you some days ago, you could, perhaps, start a web page exposing all the old photo material you have. It should be very interesting. Warm regards Marios Link to comment
o.bilge 0 Posted July 17, 2009 A very interesting picture: Mr T is like an ottaman (sir= beyefendi) with his stockings, 'nargile', and 'şalvar'; Where did it capture? Do you still use 'şalvar', Dimitris.. OB Link to comment
dgv 1 Posted July 17, 2009 Hi Ozgur my friend, Mr T my grandfather, was born in Kyrenia and he had many Turkish friends there he also spoke fluent Turkish. The picture was taken in the late 20's early 30's. He is dressed in Turkish traditional clothes which he wore on carnival day. Those clothes are similar to the Greek Cypriot traditional clothes and which also include a salvar. The only difference is that the salvar is black. Many regards, Dimitris. Link to comment
