CARNAVALI

Around 1925 in Nicosia old town during Carnival. I believe at the time there were less than 500 cars on the island. The photograph was restored by me. Most of all old photos are cracked, torn and faded. It was in an old family alboum ever since I remember.

I have put this picture under cars and vehicles although is basically an

old document. Forgive me if you think it matters -:)

The original Jeffrey is as safe as can be. And the restored version is on 5 different drives in two separate countries. Over the years I have been restoring all the old family photos that I could lay my hands on. One of the reasons that I an uploading them is that the family members who are scattered all over the world can see them. The man standing by his car smoking a nargila is my maternal grandfather and his Turkish Cypriot friends are sitting in the car.Thanks for your interest.

Very interesting the smoking machine (nargile). Do you have any information about it Dimitri, because I see that it was Toulis' close companion.
