Thanks for your generous rating.Jeffrey: thanks for your input and very nice rate. Fall has such a variety of color from the 'faint' to the vivid - something for everyone, I suppose. thadley 15 Posted November 24, 2008 I have had the D300 for a few months now and for my 'scenics' I shoot strictly in RAW and leave the picture setting on Vivid - the other options on the D300 are standard and neutral. I have been using capture NX software for 90 % of my 'scenics' and beginning to like it. In the software and since it is RAW files I can decide whether to change the settings. This scene had strong colors to begin with and the vivid setting intensifies it a tad. I decided to leave it 'as is' since I wanted the blue-yellow color contrast. Hope that helps. My thanks to Keith, Armindo, Katherine, Susan, William, Ahmet, Jeffrey Lee Julian Obispo, Spasojevic Ognjen Randy Tillman for commenting and/or rating. As always I appreciate when someone takes the extra effort to do this.I am listening to a Sam Cooke version of "Summertime" but it is below freezing outside where I live. All the best and WARM regards to all. Link to comment
