Images change by the second in this land of wind and clouds. The sun cutting through

the foreground gives this image nice contrast.

this is composition of lights and color. I like the lit patch there among the silent hills and the venerable mountain. the overcast is also another plus side . It has drawn the tips of the mountain

Thanks so much for your comments. Our trip here to Torres Del Paine in Chilean Patagonia was an extremely limited day trip that involved over 12 hours of travel. I was afraid of not getting any nice images. We were lucky that the clouds and sun cooperated for a brief couple of minutes as we were about to depart from the park.

Angelo,   Actually, Tierra Del Fuego is a bit south of here.  But your observation is a good one.  The clouds look as if they could be smoke.  This is Parque Nacional Torres Del Paine just north of Puerto Natales, Chile.  It was so windy here that I had to hold on to the rocks to avoid being blown over.  This is a park in which to spend a week; we only had a few hours.  We traveled by bus from 6:00 AM to past midnight to get here from El Calafate, Argentina.  The deterrents are that place is extremely remote and hence expensive.

Beautiful shot - lovely light!

I was strolling past the neighborhood and I came across this, nifty piece (sorry about using technical terms) The gold of the base really brings out the mist covered snow capped mountains. I also like the high lights on the greenery to our right.

Tony,  I am glad you were in the "neighborhood."  Thanks for your comment.  This is one of my favorite images from our Patagonia experience.  Unfortunately, we only had a few hours at this magnificent place, Torres Del Paine.  I will continue to look for you in the neighborhood, in yours as well.  Larry
