MichaelChang 12 Posted November 21, 2008 He has the likeness of an actor but I can't place the name. :-) Like the 8-Ball idea, Tiffany. Is it really flat black? I expected it to be glossy. The red and black looks classy and fits the theme. Now some observations: There is a dramatic shift in skin tone and texture which is quite noticeable, but more so is the slight darkening along the forehead hairline. The ear looks strangely lit almost as though it's pasted in, perhaps because it's not in focus. Link to comment
rascal64 9 Posted November 21, 2008 Michael...if I ever get rich enough to hire someone...it will be someone like you...to do my proofing. I have uploaded a replacement...and a small version with this commentary because it always seems to take forever to replace the first file. Yes...he is an actor ...although probably not who you think. There are a few images where he looks very much like Christopher Reeve. Anyway...the ball is matte. He does a radio show called radio8ball and that there is his sidekick. In the images where I made the ball bigger (standard pool size)...he wanted it smaller ..like the one pictured. This was a really fun shoot. I have decided that I want to specialize in portraits of artists. It really is gratifying. Here is the cleaner version. Biliana...bless you beautiful lady for taking the time to leave comments! Link to comment
MichaelChang 12 Posted November 22, 2008 Hire me for proofing, huh? Thank goodness because I'm a terrible cook. :-) Radio8ball is a catchy name. I can immediately imagine a comedy shot with a bowling ball. Artist portraits can be fun as they are more engaging and more willing to take chances, but can also be more critical. Back to the picture: I'm still tempted to smooth his cheek a little and tone down the brownish shadow. Not complaining, but how come Biliana gets a "bless you beautiful lady for taking the time to leave comments!" and I don't get a "Michael...bless you handsome gentleman for taking the time to leave comments!"? :-) Link to comment
rascal64 9 Posted November 22, 2008 A deep gratitude for your continued visits....your thoughtful...poignant... insightful...intelligent and witty remarks. And my sincere apologies for not calling you a beautiful lady (>8. Oh yah...the ear...actually...it is recurring light that I use. I like it for the definition it gives to a shadowed face. Yes...it's his ear. Check out the show at www.radio8ball.com Link to comment
MichaelChang 12 Posted November 22, 2008 I was actually phishing for "handsome"... :-) Speaking of handsome, this is certainly a handsome shot of Andreas and I'm sure he's pleased. Link to comment
rascal64 9 Posted November 22, 2008 To earn the handsome title...you better have a super smooth complexion Link to comment
