ryourth 0 Posted December 24, 2008 Dick, old things, I love em, believe it or not, but I'm old enough to remember horses pulling these hayracks. However I digress, back to your image, such a typical farm scene of days gone by. The grasses add a touch of warmth to cold winter scene. ..It is also nearly a year since you joined PN & have seen a vast improvement in your work covering a wide range of subjects & have enjoyed our little chats back & forth. Thanks for your kind words & of course I do wish you & your family a joyous Christmas & a Happy New Year.Hopefully, we'll both be around this time next year & maybe that old barn will stil be standing Best Regards-Ross Link to comment
rarmstrong 0 Posted December 24, 2008 Ross, thanks so much for the kind comments! It has been through observing the excellent work of you and others on PN that has taught me so much this past year about how to improve as a photographer. I'm excited to continue the journey and I'm sure you'll be around in 2009 along with the barn:-) Happy New Year! Dick Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted January 5, 2009 A lovely scene and very well captured. For a 2nd image I would have moved to the left so that foreground shrub is positioned to the right giving an unimpeded view to the wheels. This is simply an artistic consideration but what you have here is very good. All the best. Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted January 5, 2009 I used PS color balance and the Level command to make some subtle changes to it - hope you don't mind. Link to comment
rarmstrong 0 Posted January 6, 2009 Tony, thank you and I don't mind at all, in fact, I've been thinking that the snow in these images needed to be brighter. I like what you have done. Don't hesitate to do this with any of my images. I'm flattered that you were willing to take the time. Best regards, Dick Link to comment
