This is very stylish picture. I like a certain rustic charm. Composition is clear and tonality work well. I would just crop the image a little bit from the left hand side.

There is some great story telling in this image. The pose is also intriguing.

There is nothing you could have done about her skirt -- it was driving the whole picture out of key -- so I selected it and made it dark.

The horizon is off, so I rotated and cropped it.

I subdued the tones of all the interesting articles in the room. I used the Elliptical Marquee Selection tool feathered at 60 pixels and selected an oval from just over the top of her head to just below the bowl and included her left elbow. I selected the inverse, and used the Brightness/Contrast control to darken outside of the oval. I then selectively dodged the highlights on the articles in the room so they would stand out just enough.

I also dodged the highlights of her eyes brightening the scleras and catch lights.

I also gave your image an edge treatment.

If you don't find my suggestions helpful, just email me and I will be glad to delete them.

Often in flour mills of the 1700's to 1800's I have encountered very attractive eastern european women looking at me provocatively. Thank goodness someone has captured these women, and their silent struggles! Cheers, Jay
