Nikon D300, Nikkor 70~200 f 2.8 E.D. V.R. from NEF (raw) through Adobe Raw Converter. Full frame. Converted to B&W by checking (ticking) the monochrome box in ACR 4.6 and adjusting color sliders 'to taste'. No 'adjustments' other than normal 'adjustments of brightness/contrast and adjustments of color sliders for 'affect'. Extremely low shutter speed/ very low light conditions in this underground complex (not metro, but nearby)

The caption (subject line) aptly summarizes this entire photo, taken in

an underground pedestrian and shopping complex near the Metro in

Kyiv, Ukraine at night - a place where the elderly suffer pensions

crushed by inflation, and that inflation has leaped markedly just this

year because of the world financial crisis, with Metro (subway) prices

going up 400%, and workers there threatening to strike and to paralyze

this country's capital if the increase is rolled back. Your ratings and

critiques are invited and most welcome. If you rate harshly or very

critically, please submit a helpful and constructive comment; please

share your superior photographic knowledge to help improve my

photography. Thanks! Enjoy! John
