Time to add another tree photo, and an intimate scene. It's been awhile now. I was particularly drawn to the layering in the background foliage juxaposed against the vertical trunks. I waited here until light began emerging upon the scene from behind a cloud in the afternoon.

Well Marc, you've certainly captured some beautiful light in this shot. I think this has been aptly named and bands of different color are really special and most importantly well seen. This is something that I think many people would have walked right past without realizing the beauty.

 

 

I really like the layers of color from green up to the yellow. The color of the tree trunks bothers me though, the light on them is great but the color just seems off.

I agree. Something got screwed up with the web version of this one. The trunks seem to have some blue/magenta going on, which isn't apparent in my original.

I think the blue/magenta sheen makes it very dreamlike and otherworldly. That in itself is what sets this photo up, along with the change of colors which I really like. Congrats all around for this capture Marc.
