Alberto,

I really like this picture. As I look at it, it is just so suttle yet very artistic. A picture like this proves to me that you don't have to go look for anything more than what you see, you don't have to clutter a picture with things to make a great artistic statement. This is a plain picture yet it says so much. The tree and the sun are perfectly placed to make my eye wonder through the picture and look for more and yet be satisfied with what I see.

Well done.

Tony, thank you for your comment: really appreciated! Your feelings exactly match mine when I took this photo!

Jeff, thank you too. I knew that this title (taken from a poem by T. S. Eliot) might be a bit "strong", but I wanted to convey my disappointment towards my surrounding landscape. I live in north of Italy, in a wide flat, and over the years many trees disappeared in the countryside to make space for new fields... Often, during the foggy autumns days, the landscape appears very "waste"...

Regards, Alberto.

I am eternally fascinated by minimalistic images, provided they are beautiful. This one is minimalistic and beautiful, complete with a suitable border. Best regards.

Great shot Alberto, I really love simple compostions like this, very pleasing to look at. Also really like the soft pastal colors, well done!
