John Peri 1,029 Posted November 13, 2008 "An ongoing series" .. she comes home after a tiring day at the office, gets undressed and light up a cigarette with Chopin's Second Piano Concerto playing in the background. She lingers on while the bathub is filling ... soon she will be relaxed and everything will be back to normal again ... Link to comment

sideris 0 Posted November 14, 2008 Your use of lightning is a master class, especially the flash. I always say "I dont use flash because I dont like it, it makes the image so flat and without depth"... ...indeed I should say "Sorry, I dont know how to use the damn flash"... The stance, her delicate beauty, the finesse of her astounding nude feet, the whole concept is delightful. Link to comment
wesleyfarnsworth 0 Posted November 14, 2008 Excelent work! Great lighting, and her whole looks makes you feel like she is tired from a day at work! Congrats! Link to comment
John Peri 1,029 Posted November 15, 2008 Thank you all, glad you liked the concept. Carlo, I think that the one important thing to remember with flash is not to point it at the subject. If you bounce it off the wall, the light gets diffused and just serves to fill in the shadows ... of course you often have to make two or three atempts to see what gives the best result .. as you can see on this image, the flash is pointing upwards and to the left. You know all this of course, but it may be useful to those for whom the technique is new. Link to comment
JPPhoto1664880217 5 Posted November 16, 2008 Excellent image. Great pose, the robe really adds to the narrative. My compliments to you both. Have you thought about this one in color? Jim Link to comment
