steve_lowther 0 Posted November 14, 2008 Sergey, You have a very nice bridal portrait here. It is something her grandchildren will cherish. There are a couple of "tricks" I would like to tell you about. If you use the clone tool on "darken", you can get rid of the little patches of sky peeking through the trees. This little trick does amazing things for the background. If you use the Elliptical Marquee Selection tool feathered at 60 pixels, you can draw an oval around her, select the inverse, and darken the outside of the oval with the Brightness/Contrast control. This vignette adds drama to the image. I also brightened up her face by dodging it a little. The dodge tool was set on "highlights". I know the setting was on a slight slope, but I rotated the crop just a bit to help the viewer orient towards the horizon, then I added an edge treatment of green and brown. Please drop by my portfolio. I have some wedding portraits of my daughter you may be interested in seeing. If you don't find my suggestions helpful, just email me and I will be glad to delete them.
