johncrosley

Nikon D300, Nikkor 70~200 f 2.8 E.D. V.R. from NEF (raw) through Adobe Raw Converter. Crop. Converted to B&W by checking (ticking) the monochrome box in ACR 4.6 and adjusting color sliders 'to taste'. No 'adjustments' other than normal 'adjustments of brightness/contrast and adjustments of color sliders for 'affect'. Slight right and left crops to fit aspect ratio proper to subject.

This woman gets 'a little brushup' from this cosmetics

demonstrator/saleswoman recently, as taken from a somewhat distant

(and unseen) vantage. Your ratings and critiques are invited and most

welcome. If you rate harshly or very critically, please submit a helpful

and constructive comment; please share your superior photographic

knowledge to help improve my photography. Thanks! Enjoy! John

I cannot see what is excluded below but if not a problem the elbow should be included to close the photo at the bottom. The arm kind of runs off the page. Aside from that I see no way to improve. The sharp focus and facial tones are excellent.

The women's expression is really spectacular, the blue eye completes the image,a very good shot!I think that the elbow was covered!Regards from Rome.

Of course the elbow was covered, this time by the demonstration counter and containers.

The two women are too intent on 'making beauty' to understand that I'm in an airport concours nearby in full view of hundreds taking their photos, not once but maybe 20 or 30 times, and they're not 'enclosed' but 'out in the open'.

That's concentration!

Good for us photographers!

Thanks for the observant comment.

I was dumbfounded by the relatively poor reception this photo got, frankly, but them's the breaks, and I learn from everything. I sometimes post far lesser photos and get amazed by much higher rates. Goes to show you, you can't win for losing. (The rates since have moved up substantially.)
