Useless sacrifice (Ciao Marta)

I preferred the color to give the different bronze shadows. On the low right border of the

left soldier someone has written "ciao marta", say "hi martha".

there is a complex meaning related to historical matters and personal beliefs that is not so interesting to be discussed in this place; the second meaning is that the person that has written "ciao marta" - more or less like "i love you marta" on the monument shows that he hasn't learn anything by the death of the soldiers, and, in such a sense, it has been a "useless sacrifice".
