Face painting took about an hour - It was my first time but she was very

patient with me. This photo was taken outside under cloudy skies.

Please let me know what you think and how to improve. Thank you for

your time and comments.

If you didn't mention outdoor, I thought this is a studio portrait. Very well done, Sonia. Light, sharpness & details all very good.

Thank you all for your feedback. I think this is my favorite of all. Perhaps I should have left it in colour? Thanks again for sharing your thoughts

Hauntingly beautiful Sonia. Haven't seen the color, but I suspect your instinct to go black and white was the right one. Regards, Bill.

Ciao Sonia,

this is the one I like more, love the look in her eyes and the BW tones. Amazing work.

Take care, Diego

P.S. I agree with you ;-)

Let me first say I like the color version better, Sonia. The b/w appears to be red channel biased which makes her skin a bit too bright (as viewed on my screen). It'd be beautiful enough without her face painted, but with it painted, just adds to an already beautiful picture.

Thank you Diego, Stamoulis and Michael. I realize that her skin is much brighter than it would normally be but I think I prefer the dramatic B&W contrasts. Thank you all for stopping by and sharing your thoughts.

Awesome shot!! I really don't know which one I like better! I guess I like them both - the B&W for the mystique and the colour version for her rich complexion and the detail of the face paint!! Amazing job!!

Best regards,

I must say I like both color and black and white. I think this is one outstanding picture. My regards for your great job doing the painting and capturing such a great portrait.

If you don't ming a humble opinion the only thing I'd touch up is the couples of hairs on her neck a (mainly the 2 loop one) they distract a bit.

Regards,

Alex
