I took this image after the sun had completely set to eliminate harsh distracting

shadows. We waited over two hours for the sun to get below the horizon.

Well worth the wait; the effect you wanted (or the effect you wanted to avoid) was achieved and resulted in a very pleasing image.

For those who favour landscapes on the grand scale,this is a winner.The perspective is great & also unusual, you rarely see the floor of the canyon & am always impressed with the beautiful pastels of your southern states. Hi Larry - I am European, born in Finland and have travelled and stay in Europe most of the year. Have been to States many times but mostly during congresses. So, I have not been to wild West yet, but plan to visit some time soon:) br Hannu
