Great perspective Giuseppe. The man has depicted a big: "WTF he is doing??" on his face...ehehehehehehe!! Cool!!

Life is strange, a total different shot but I just added a "WTF" face too...eheheheh!!

Bravo!!

qui è bello il dualismo tra le due figure, da dinamismo fisico e di sensazione. Mi piace anche il taglio. lo sfondo però e troppo confuso ed ostacola la lettura della foto. magari sfuocandolo....

very interesting b&w photo. The quotation from John Donne helps to understand its message and explains the presence of the book here held by a mysterious figure. The book is placed at the intersection of the rule-of-thirds lines to underline its importance. Would like it even better without the cars behind the man but here the story you want to tell is much more important. Thank you for sharing, regards, -wm

thank you very much for your comments and ratings. Wieslaw,

I am happy you discovered the "easter egg" of this work. When I shot this one I firmly wanted some human presence passing by, and traffic of cars, because I wanted to create a strong contast between the old man and the urban life revolving around him. At home, seeing the book, I decided for that "obscure" title because - imho - every work has different levels of interpretation, and sometimes it's nice to play with the viewers. Thank you again, Giuseppe
