pietje 0 Posted November 6, 2008 another pearl in yor portfolio. what I appreciate in this one is that the texture of the skin seems to be repeated in the background, thus creating a great unity in graphism and treatment in the whole composition ... wich is on itself already extraordinary ... one diagonal filled with the direction of the action of movement, extended by the breath. the other diagonal created by the light elongated in the body and tail. In spite of the uniform texture, the horse is jumping out of the background by the wonderfull work on the lights. for such images it would be so great to be able to see the whole traject the master used to create it. And we have to admit that altough your work is heavyly processed, it gets still al his force in the original strenght of the excellent start photo. The tonality of colour - near to monochrome - is so wel balanced in harmony with, and on top of the dynamic action portret. Realy impressive ! Piet Link to comment
