cjtj50 0 Posted November 3, 2008 Looks like you were out there amongst and had to be such a wonderful time. I like your application here and the angle, you captured the halloween action well. Take care Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted November 8, 2008 Crunching through the leaves. I love the little one standing with hands in pockets. Because such memories seem to stand-out in crisp contrast to everyday life, it seems appropriate that a similar crisp and contrasty visual quality should be used with a Halloween shot. timzeipekis 5 Posted November 8, 2008 Thanks so much, I tried to give it a bit of a nostalgic/cartoonish look, it seemed to fit my retrospective mood.......... Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted November 9, 2008 Tim... Excellent processing, taking an already good shot of kids being kids and giving it a 3D feel... I hope you got your candy too! :-)... Mike Link to comment
timzeipekis 5 Posted November 10, 2008 I charge my kids a candy tax, so I get my fare share :) Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted November 13, 2008 It seems as though the sign in front has set the stage for your treatment here, which you've accomplished really nicely. It does have a fantastical and, indeed, cartoonlike quality, the unreality of this holiday captured in a simple, autumnal, trick-or-treaty manner. Great house, by the way. Wonder who gets to clear their leaves away. Link to comment
timzeipekis 5 Posted November 13, 2008 This was taken in Petersburg, Michigan, a 41 block village founded in 1834. It's where I grew up and did my trick or treatin' when I was little. Although we don't live there anymore, I still take the kids back every Halloween to retrace the routes I once enjoyed as a child. Lots of old architecture really adds to the eerie mood of the event as well as the nostalgic feeling of days gone by. There is one house in particular that still gives out the exact same "little hugs" drinks that I got 25 years ago when I was running through those streets on Halloween night. Link to comment
