cherlyn 1 Posted November 2, 2008 Mobile phones has become so much a part of our life - they are a music player, an internet surfing machine, a camera, a calculator, a notepad/memo, a voice recorder.... & so many other other functions. Some people are so addicted is using it for SMS that is has become a sickness. Can we ever do without it? Does anyone living in the city don't own a mobile phone nowadays? Do you ? See these people even can't even enjoy their walk without using their mobiles. All feedback welcome. Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted November 2, 2008 Cherlyn, you have legitimate concern. This a global malady. In India, millions of mobile phones have been sold for for past few years and the graph is rising in spite of economic slump. Mobile phone has its utility. But it is the craze, road accidents and misuse, are valid reasons for concern. The image is well-composed with very good exposure. Link to comment

andrea allison 0 Posted November 5, 2008 Hi Cherlyn! What a great composition. You caught that so nicely. And the answer to the question, NO I don't think we can live without cell phones. LOL. I am proud to say I put mine away, which was not easy at first. Now I don't have work following me around and I am learning the beauty of peace and quiet. I'm surprised the little girl isn't carrying one, I also like the bridge and your crop. It also says something of our times. Kind Regards Andrea Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted November 5, 2008 Hooray for you Andrea, that you don't have the cell phone following you around. I won't be surprised that the little girl has the phone with her somewhere. Nowadays parents buy phones for their young children, saying that it's to keep track of them. I quite disagree with that though. Link to comment
bretsch 0 Posted November 5, 2008 Magnificent! Title and image blend very well to transmit a powerful message. I don't think we can in today’s world, but you certainly made us think. Link to comment

pnital 36 Posted November 13, 2008 The composition is wonderful, you have caught it so well , the " sickness" of our era. on one hand it is comfortable when used with borders, on the other it IS an addiction. it has nothibg to do with your composition which has a great timing and use of B/W.
