zigzag 0 Posted November 13, 2008 I think you're right: the idea is getting somewhere, the PP does suck because I am looking for a 'surreal' look and am not quite there yet - so it looks just like bad photoshop. I'll keep trying, thanks for the comments and your time. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted November 13, 2008 Did you use Topaz adjust in this one? Sure looks like it. I use it too and am trying to find the right balance of effects vs enhance. Link to comment
GerrySiegel 868 Posted November 14, 2008 The effect is not uninteresting. It is a statement of a dynamic household where one can catch the feel of the activity and the individual personalities. The filter effect or whatever may or may not be too much. It did catch my attention I will say that....wide angle adds the surreal quality. She is as they used to say 'letting it all hang out." Clothes AND abdomen. Different. If it makes a statement for you then it is fine. How do you see this family group? Is it the grown tattooed teens finally getting caught up in the day to day routine of so called maturity? They are a group and yet almost like separate individual photos collaged together. zigzag 0 Posted November 15, 2008 Hi Gerry, Here's how I started out:http://www.modelmayhem.com/casting.php?ccid=259814 I tried to stay within my brief while going surreal with it. Link to comment
palangat 0 Posted May 14, 2011 This is a common comment for all the three images in the Ruby series. I am totally captivated by the Ruby series. This is more than three images. It truly tells a story. The family dynamics, the guy being totally into his thing (guys!). Ruby, the pregnant and lost wife trying to pull it together with two children in tow and one in the making. The parents (I assume) distanced from the reality in the background in two images . The two children totally lost in their world, as if they have nothing to do with their tatoo'ed parents! The sense of loneliness of Ruby in the above image. Despite all this, there is something that holds everything together, however tense! These are brilliant images in my opinion! Did you shoot at their home? The family seems extremely comfortable! Keep shooting and show us more!cheers, murali Link to comment
