This is so superb, Dick. Strong tones that work so well in b/w. The birds make for a very intersting add-on to the shot which compliments the tree perfectly. Excellent. Well done.

Thank you, Lawrence! I put up the original color version of this, and today I decided to try it in black and white. I wanted to see what I could do with the clouds. I'm pleased that you like it. Your comments are valuable to me.

Hi Dick...had a look at the colour version - it's awesome, but I way prefer the b/w version as it is so dramatic. Regards, Lawrence.

I thought this was a waterfall, Dick, and prefer the vertical format for accentuating that impression. The birds: amazing! The B&W treatment is top notch, the picture a classic. I love it. Congratulations.

Thank you so much, Tim! At the beginning of my time on PN, you advised me to take my camera with me, all of the time. I do that now, and I was able to get this shot of the oak tree, sky and birds while waiting to pick up my daughter from school...because I had my camera. I was looking up, framing the shot with the clouds, and the birds just burst off of the high school roof...that amazed me!
