ndj 0 Posted November 1, 2008 Beutiful composition Marc. This does indeed look volcanic at first glance. You really brought out the autumn color nicely in the post processing. Pretty cool shot! All the best,Neil Link to comment

harrylichtman 0 Posted November 3, 2008 Marc- What really does it for me in this image is the use of the rocks in the FG, falls, and peak to create tension throughout the shot. The rocks point toward the peak, the falls angle in at the opposite angle. The colors are great, might make an interesting B&W with the contrasting shapes and forms. The leaves-candles on the cake. I'm not sure if you cognitively go through a process of sorts deciding what will make the image good prior to exposure, or if something inside says, this is it or will be it under the right light. I suspect it's intuitive, what attracts you to a certain vatage point is a combination or crtical details. Nicely done. Harry Link to comment
cfreemanphotography 0 Posted November 3, 2008 Nice! I particularly like the illuminated portion of the cloud directly over the waterfall. Really ties earth and sky together. Only thing I'm not sure on is the tone of that mountain.... it seems like it should either be burned or the sky dodged. Just seems a little HDR-esque (which I know it isn't). Link to comment
marcadamus 1 Posted November 3, 2008 I processed the sky brighter in a later version of this one. I know what you're saying there. Link to comment
