Seasons Gone By

Enchanting light spreading over the Eastern peaks of Glacier park at sunrise amidst a clearing snowstorm. Very difficult conditions to shoot in, despite the peacefulness of the scene. 40mph winds and driving wet snow/sleet made things pretty tough. I used a 2-stop GND to control the exposure and processed sky/land areas seperately for best color rendition. I appreciate your comments.

fenomenal shot, great point of view, very strong composition with greath depth impression, spectacular panorama, extremely beautifull sight.

But, on my computer I experimented with the levels, undoing the red haze with the white pipet in the level dialogue ... and I have the strong feeling it is even better without the strong (in my opinion) red haze.

 

But anyway ... tremendous photo!

Another gorgeous shot for the Marc files! I really like your composition on this one Marc. The tree, the river, the ridge descending to the river, the backdrop of the mountains, and the low lying pockets of cloud all combine with the marvelous light to make a perfect shot. The excellent post processing completed the job nicely. Well done especially under the conditions you described.
