ricardovaste 0 Posted October 30, 2008 This has always caught my eye, but I've never thought of photographing it. Each year, when this field is ploughed, this lone oak tree has been left dead in the center of the field, untouched. A small square of grass surrounds it. For the life of me, I don't know why it has never been up- rooted as I'd imagine it makes the farmers job that much more difficult. There always seems to be a great flocks of crows, sometimes buzzards, either flying above of purched in the branches... Hence it's always had this strange atmosphere surrounding it.Maybe it is a fairly tree with special powers :-). Unlikely. Hope you like the shot though.A700, 24-85RS, ISO3200, f/11C&C Welcome. Thanks for looking, RichThis is my second take on this image, as you may have seen the previous one (which i prefer). This is just a different view, processed slightly differently and captured differently. It was very dark while I took this, due to the sleet that was falling, I was forced to use ISO3200, but i think it only enhanced the mood really. I was pleasantly suprised on that aspect. Your thoughts are welcome. Link to comment
chris_rowe1 0 Posted November 1, 2008 I love this shot. The angle that this is shot at I like very much. And the darkness does add to the mood. Which I like. 6/6. Link to comment
