t37traveler 0 Posted January 14, 2009 Raquez- I always like to visit the galleries of photographers who have commented on one of my photos (thank you again for taking the time to comment on "Reflections"). I am very impressed by your gallery. This photo, in particular, I find extraordinary. It reminds me of a Jean-Francois Millet oil painting with the wonderful use of lighting that the 19thC artists in the Hudson River School were known for. It is pastoral and compelling; the only hint of modern times is the tires on the ox cart. It is so peaceful in this picture; I sense of how slow the pace of life is; I hear the hooves and the creak and rumble of the cart. It gives the viewer a peephole into the reality of life in some remote areas. It is beautifully composed and very compelling. Thank you for sharing it 7/7 in my opinion!) Link to comment
