I would consider dodging a bit around the bird's eye, and burning the eye a bit, to emphasize this, since the photo is more a portrait of the bird than a typical nature photo. Also, I would up the sat. on the bird's neck, beak, and "forehead," to match the color intensity of the rest of the photo (i.e. background and wings). In terms of framing, may want to use a simpler frame, since the photo is more subtle than the frame gives it credit for. -Axle Link to comment
