Smart man is never alone, the other one..is hard to help...Fine shot, like the compo, b&w. Best, vf

The title fits. The railing that partially blocks his face adds to the somber tone. I am liking this change of pace from you.

The high angle gives this an interesting perspective, letting us appreciate the view from a different angle.

I like the lines in this the horizontal and vertical lines of physical and light are interesting and then the X under the table does something good - not sure what but it works well. The B&W conversion is good and really adds to the solitude even amongst the lights that indicate it is a live place.

Pnina, I love reflection shots in all their forms because of their unpredictability and inherent mystery. I've seen more on PN recently than before, and I'm attracted to the questions they raise. This anonymous type of image where the face is obscured seems more popular Jeff Long & Fred Goldsmith have recently done them) and I look forward to seeing more of them. So many unanswered questions!

The viewpoint is great. We can't see his eyes, so we have to project our own interpretation on what's going on. Alone would certainly be my guess. I wonder why.

Ha! Kind of reminds me of my own recent picture of a woman alone in a cafeteria. A common theme, I guess, especially in these disjointed times. I hope you had a great visit with Dennis, Adan, Jeff and God knows who else. Wish I could have been with you over there but I hope you got my greetings and best wishes which I sent along to Dennis. Now that the elections are over, I'm back on photonet full steam.

Interesting perspective, Pnina...the bar covering most of the mans face makes him anonymous and just another person alone...Well seen...Marjorie

Hello Pnina,

I was very happy to meet you at Dennis' reception, it was a real pleasure. And thak you for your recent note on my granddaughter. I am very proud.

This is a wonderful image. I particurlarly like the upward angle and the obscure face that remains with a notable expression. This is a super shot.

I have written some of my thanks and wonderful impressions to the man ( Dennis) and people that made our PN friend meeting possible . Please read this in the " empty chair", ... Which is not empty anymore near my computer ....;-))

I hope to visit your files soon, to see what is new in your work.

I rated this 100/100. This is one of the most interesting B&W shots I ever have seen. Here's what makes it a superior photograph, in my opinion: effective angle and perspective, awesome contrasts, the title matching the man's appearance, especially the railing across his face (which renders him not only alone, but also anonymous), interesting use of shapes and lines, etc., etc., etc.

I suspect that, even if I should live to 120, I never will be able to produce anything like this photograph. You truly are an artist, aside from being an expert photographer.

Pnina, I see your style/techique continue to grow and evolve...your street scenes do a wonderful job projecting the mood of the characters and objects you portray. In this image I particularly like how the man's face is partially obscured...as is the lady in the background and the various objects in the scene. I'm drawn in and my eyes seek to read the story being told. Nicely captured.

Thanks also for stopping by the other day and commenting on the picture of my girl Livee...your comments are always appreciated. Jeff.
