jpo3136b 0 Posted October 29, 2008 Good job. I always like to see astrophotography. I am amazed that an 80mm was involved in this project. I recommend a web page, made by you, illustrated with photos showing a "making of" these astro-photos. In the case of astro-photos, technical details that might otherwise seem mundane are intriguing for viewers like me, I think. I don't know how I feel about the circles and arrows on the image. I would almost always say that each of the images should be evaluated on its own. However, I see the purpose here clearly, so I think it would be okay. I would, however, recommend that you maintain copies of the original images so that you can alter the appearance of the image for publication elsewhere, if needed. Point is, placing the images within the image is more of a larger, storytelling image; each of the images by themselves are strong and capable; don't lose that. I am surprised and pleased by the wide range of colors used to capture the stars. I like the golden browns especially; wasn't expecting to see that. Overall, I would rate this image highly, and recommend that you preserve copies of this work. Great job. Keep on shooting. J. Link to comment
