rarmstrong 0 Posted October 28, 2008 Rarely would I choose to shoot directly into the sun. But, last evening when I saw these clouds over the local fields, the light on the grass, and on the irrigation spray, I decided it was worth a try. Please view this larger, thank you! Link to comment
dandem 1 Posted October 29, 2008 It's great, Dick. I like the dramatic sky (more visible when enlarged) The lense flare does'nt bother me, but I feel the sun is very harsh IMHO. Generally, well taken shot. Regards, Lawrence. Link to comment
jmarcraveau 0 Posted October 29, 2008 I tend to agree with Lawrence's comment about the sun. I like it, It's a very nice image. Regards, Jean-Marc Link to comment
rarmstrong 0 Posted October 29, 2008 Thank you, Lawrence and Jean-Marc! I agree that the sun is too blown out. This image was an experiment and I was surprised that I was able to get as much out of it as I did. There was just not enough range in post processing to adjust the sun exposure without losing the other detail. But, I thought it was worth playing with. I usually don't like the lens flare, but I don't know how to avoid it when shooting directly into the sun. Maybe a neutral density filter would help in this situation, but I have no experience with them. Link to comment
elportebonheur 0 Posted October 29, 2008 Well, I like the image as it is - including the peculiar sun and the lens flares... Gives the picture a certain something. The technical aspects I leave aside. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted October 30, 2008 Nice composition!! The larger version sure looks good!! The monotone atmosphere and the lens flare add to the effect!! Best regards, Vamsi Krishna Link to comment
