dandem 1 Posted October 28, 2008 Oh no!!!! The thought of snow, ice, sleet and all the other goodies that come with winter. Hibernation time. Well seen and captured, Dick. Stay warm my friend. Link to comment

elportebonheur 0 Posted October 29, 2008 On April 1, you submitted 'morning snow' b/w...so you are a small six month snow free...:( Now then... Regards from sunny Italy Link to comment
rarmstrong 0 Posted October 29, 2008 Yes,El....you are correct, where I live we have a very long winter. Fortunately, it tends to be beautiful. But, it can also be brutal which is why so many people in my area head to Florida or Arizona for several months when the snow begins. We had snow again last night, but now it is beautiful, sunny and 36 degrees(Fahrenheit). Thank you, as always, for the comment! Best regards, Dick Link to comment

rarmstrong 0 Posted October 29, 2008 Thank you, Jean-Marc! Yes, Mary, it will soon be coming. I'm sure you are happy to have your wood put up for the winter. Where I live they call it "making wood". Best regards, Dick Link to comment
thadley 14 Posted October 31, 2008 Very nice Richard. It looks like an intriguing ice cream cone flower. We had heavy snow in certain parts of quebec but just a sprinkling in our area - I ran off two shots but have not downloaded them as yet. I was busy marinading my fresh salmon to be cooked tomorrow for supper. best regards 6/6 Link to comment
timkeller 0 Posted October 31, 2008 Our growing season is just the four months between freezes; we go slightly longer than that, usually, between snows. Personally, I'm looking forward to photographing winter again: it's where you and I both started. Nice sharp focus falling off into attractive bokeh here! Link to comment
rarmstrong 0 Posted November 1, 2008 Thanks, Tim! I don't yet feel your enthusiasm about snow. I wish we had more summer or a longer fall, but I feel that way every year. When the snow starts I'll get back into it. This little group of flowers outside of my office draws me in every morning and has become a kind of seasonal barometer. Best regards, Dick Link to comment
